Roles and responsibilities of the programme leader


Each programme within Future Focus will have a programme leader. Programme leaders are ultimately responsible for academic leadership, management and assessment, for the programme they have been designated to lead on.

Working closely with the relative module leaders and the senior academic head of the institution leaders are responsible for delivering the programme using appropriate teaching and learning and assessment methods, effecting any necessary modifications, communicating information to students. They ensure the effective planning, management and review of the programme, adhering to specified monitoring and evaluation procedures. Programme leaders are also responsible for taking forward any new programme proposals following due process and in accordance with institution strategy.

In doing so, programme leaders should respond to feedback from students, external examiners and industry. They are required to ensure student representatives are allocated to the programme board, and that all students have access to a tutor. Programme leaders should therefore have good communication with colleagues across the institution and collaborative partners such as the awarding bodies and with external bodies and national organisations.

All lecturers/ assessors within the programme will answer to the programme leader. The programme leader will report to the Academic Head of the Institution.

Roles and responsibilities of the programme leader


Monitor effective implementation of international business development activities.

Develop individual business plans for each country.

Administer and develop initiatives to increase sales and market development activities.

Analyse business strategies and develop improvement plans for same to provide appropriate growth to business.

Manage all development process and ensure compliance to government policies and regulations.

Assist businesses to identify opportunities and develop strategic plans to enhance same.

Design plans to achieve all objectives and develop plans for new business.

Train and provide guidance to staff members and business development issues.

Coordinate with management team and maintain budgets and participate in every fortnightly conference.

Analyze business and review future prospective for same.
Manage all customer communication and maintain effective relationship with all.

Prepare and implement various capture methods for business development.

Review competitor plans and effect of products and services in management.

Prepare pricing strategies according to customer budgets and procurement methods.

Maintain all communication with Director.

Evaluate market trends and provide appropriate support to product development.

Salary Package: eur10,000 – eur16,000

 

Qualifications: A level 6 or higher qualification in a related field
