NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care (Early Years Educator (recognised in Malta at level 4 by NCFHE)

Would you like to work as a child carer? This CACHE course is suitable for persons who would like to work with children, and aims to train and produce child care personnel with all the necessary knowledge and skills to work in this field.
The Diploma will be issued by CACHE (The Council for Awards in Children’s Care and Education). CACHE is the UK’s only specialist awarding organisation for the children and adult care sectors and its qualifications are recognised internationally. Who should attend?

The certificate course is of interest to those persons interested in embarking on a career in childcare. 
Opportunities for child carers have increased rapidly and are predicted to continue growing. Future Focus prepares students to work in schools and nurseries. Participants participate in a diverse programme that includes theory, hands-on-learning, small group work, observation and field based practical experience. Last year, over 150,000 learners registered with CACHE from over 1000 UK based Centres and overseas. The CACHE courses are recognized internationally including in Malta. Recognition statements can be obtained from the MQIRC. 

CACHE was established in 1994 as a result of the merger of the National Nursery Examination Board (NNEB) and the Council for Early Years Awards (CEYA) and has a heritage dating back to 1945. Since then, its qualifications have established a reputation for excellence and have supported many thousands of learners through to further study or employment within the Children and Young People’s Workforce. Applicants with no practical experience in childcare will be expected to carry out 360 hours of practical experience in a child care setting. During this period skills acquired will be validated. Special arrangements can be made for persons who are presently in full time employment in a different sector. 
The course will be delivered by a number of different tutors who are all experts in their respective fields. 
Students are expected to complete 65 credits There will be 442 guided learning hours of which 82 will be classroom based and 360 at the work place

  • Understanding child and young person development
  • Support children and young people’s health and safety
  • Working together for the benefit of children and young people
  • Understand how to support positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Support children and young people to achieve their education potential
  • Support children and young people to make positive changes in their lives
  • Professional practice in learning, development and support services

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course but students are expected to have a good working knowledge of English. An ID card or passport and a CV is required at application stage.

Euro 980 inclusive of VAT, study material, assessment, examinations, tuition and certification. 

Bookings can be made by filling in the application form and sending a non-refundable deposit of Euro 400 which will be deducted from the course fee. Students can opt to pay by instalments. In such a case an agreement is to be signed with Future Focus on application. A one time fee of Euro 50 for the agreement is charged.
