COURSEWORK AND ASSESSMENT
For each of the modules on the programme there is a separate pack of materials. Each pack has the same ‘house style’ and contains the content to be covered as well as detail on the module assessment requirements, both optional and compulsory. These details include the assessment task, submission date and the criteria that will be used to judge the work. The optional assessments give students a chance to test their understanding of the topics included in the chapter as well as gaining feedback on their academic writing style before tackling the compulsory assessments. All the assessments are applied to the practise of sport management and examples of these include case studies, real life projects and simulations.
Throughout each chapter students will find directed tasks (either written, research etc) to complete. There will also be directions for additional reading from the set texts and web based or text based questions to reinforce their understanding of specific topics.
