COURSE INFORMATION
This course has been designed to meet the needs of health professionals and educators who wish to improve their practical anatomical knowledge as part of their continuing professional development.
This course comprises the fundamental principles of human gross anatomy and their applications in the health care service.
In Year, students will undertake 3 modules in:
- Anatomy of the Head, Neck, Thorax and Abdomen
- Anatomy of the Pelvis, Perineum, Limbs and Back
- Practical Anatomy Summer School
During this year, the theory will introduce you to basic and applied anatomy
The practice will learn you anatomy from internationally recognised anatomists. You will be able to use and apply your learning in this module to explain and interpret common clinical problems associated with the entire human body.
Modules will be assessed by a work based project, tutor marked assignments and a written examination.
A diploma in Higher Education (Public Services Management) will be awarded on successful completion of the first year study.

Standard Entry:
This course is aimed at people working in the public or voluntary sectors. Admission to the programme in September will be based on interview, evidence of work-based experience, commitment to continuing professional development and any previous qualifications.
