Programme Overview
This programme is based on the BA/BA (Hons) Financial Services and BA/BA (Hons) Business Economics degrees. Years one and two are broad-based, drawing from the major disciplines and introduce specialist modules in financial services and economics. Later stages provide students with opportunities to study modules relating to their particular areas of interest in economics and financial services.
Career Opportunities
The programme lays the foundation for a responsible career in a wide range of areas in the private sector, including manufacturing, financial services and distribution as well as the whole range of public and voluntary sector activities.
Programme Structure
The programme allows students a great deal of flexibility because it involves studying a number of financial services and economics modules as well as those relating to business and management. The first two years provide a foundation in business subjects and introduce specialist studies in economics and financial services. From this base, the third and fourth years develop studies in both the main areas of the degree and, through a wide range of option and elective choices, students are able to tailor this programme to meet their career interests. The Honours project at year 4 allows students to pursue a specialist interest to an advanced level.
