Overview
This online Honours degree top-up course is a joint
venture between Bournemouth University and Leeds
Metropolitan University. The course offers students with
a relevant HND/Foundation degree or equivalent
qualification, the opportunity to complete the final
level of study in a flexible e-learning mode, to gain a
Honours degree in International Business and Management.
The course focuses on the study of organisations, their
management and the changing external environment in which
they operate. The course considers the global perspective
and the relationship between global issues and local
experience. Modules focus on the international context of
business and management. Students are enabled to further
enhance lifelong learning skills and to develop their
individual career plan.
The approach to e-learning expects students to engage
collaboratively in discussion forums with their peers and
to bring their employment experience to the learning
process. The course is delivered online, supported
throughout by specialist e-tutors to guide students and
help facilitate learning. Students have access to a
comprehensive range of electronic resources through the
University library, including electronic journals and e-
books. Students are welcome to attend the University and
utilise resources if they wish.
