Diploma in Advanced Study of Theory and Practice of Management/Administration

This advanced program:

  • Is suitable ONLY  for those who have already studied to the level attained by CIC’s Modern Management?Administration Program and/or other CIC Management Programs, or who have held middle or senior managerial/administrative positions.

  • Provides a broad overview of important management/administration theories and concepts, and their successful implementation at all levles to voercome the pressures of the 21st century managerial/administrative enviornment.

  • Is essential study for those wishing to gain CIC Honours Graduate Diplomas.

Major topics covered in the Advanced Program

  • The evolution of management theory – the search for principles of management: the classical and early theorists.

  • Organizations and organizational theory: objectives, categories, ownership, enviornmental factors. Systems theory.

  • Organizational structures, organization charts, system diagrams.  Duties and responsibilities of executives, delegation of responsibility.

  • Motivational theory: human relations and social psychological theories.  Self-realisation, motivation-hygiene theory, expectancy theory.

  • Theories on leadership in the workplace: trait theories, style theories, contigency theories,.  Groups and group behaviour.

On successfully completing this Advanced Program you will:

  • Have completed a professional Program of Study with an Accredited College.

  • Be awarded the  CIC Diploma on Advanced Study of Management/Administration Theory and Practice.

  • Have attained a qualification beyond ‘A’ level – as are Higher National Diploma and N/SVQ 4 – for managerial and supervisory levels,  showing you possess competence in professional work activities.

  • Have completed and Essential Program towards gaining any one of  CIC’c International Honours Graduate Diplomas.

Courses are held on a full time basis or on a part time basis or by distance learning. Ask for details. Assignments form part of the course, which will finish off with a final examination.
