Tourism & Travel Agency Management 

A Programme designed to create PROFESSIONALS trained in TOURISM AND TRAVEL ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT

The tourism industry is becoming increasingly important in countries all over the world; and the “tourism income” earned contributes greatly to their balance of payments. But for their economies and people to benefit fully, tourism development must be planned and be controlled – and be ‘sold’ to tourists. Travel agencies are an important link between tourism and the travel products on offer, and travelers.  To be profitable, they must be efficient and well-managed, with knowledgeable staff.

This Programme deals with both vital areas, and also with the marketing of tourism and travel products – by state bodies, tour operators and travel agencies.

Major topics covered in the Advanced Program

  • The tourism industry: structure, organisation, products, services; national and international importance.

  • Economic and social consequences of tourism: income from tourism, factors in developing tourism.

  • Tourism markets: leisure and activity, business travel VFR travel, motivations for travel, destinations.

  • Tour operators, inclusive tours, transport, accommodation, catering and economics of tour operation.

  • Travel agency establishment, appointment, operations, management, IATA; recruiting and training staff.

  • Marketing and promoting tourism, travel and tour brochures, compilation and use of tourism statistics.

Award And Achievement
On successfully completing this Advanced Program you will:

  • Have completed a professional Programme of Study with an Accredited College.

  • Be awarded the Diploma on Tourism & Travel Agency Management.

  • Have attained a qualification beyond ‘A’ level – as are Higher National Diploma and N/SVQ4 – for managerial and supervisory levels, showing you possess competence in professional working activities.

  • Have completed a Qualifying Programme for several International Honours Graduate Diploma on Hospitality Management.
