This program concentrates on producing modern human resource and personnel managers, providing training on a wide range of the important duties which they must perform (including industrial relations) and their responsibilities in the modern world of commerce and industry and government service.

  • Manpower planning, job analysis, job descriptions, organisation and job structure, work groups. Forecasting and budgeting.

  • HR/ personnel policy and strategy. Recruitment and selection induction, training and employee development, remuneration policy.

  • Effective communication. Safety in the workplace, security, staff welfare, medical facilities. Promotion, resignations and retirements.

  • Industrial Relations: trade unions, staff associations, collective bargaining, joint consultation: equal opportunity, flexitime.

  • HR/ personnel records and statistics, rate of labour turnover, stability index. The use of computers in the HR/personnel department.

On successfully completing this Career Development Program you will:

  • Have completed a professional Program of Study with an Accredited College.

  • Be awarded the CIC Diploma on HR/Personnel Management.

  • Have attained a qualification beyond `A` Level- as are Higher National Diploma and N/SVQ 4 - for managerial and supervisory levels, showing you possess competence in professional work activities.

  • Have completed a Qualifying Program for several International Honours Graduate Diplomas.
